2016 Giving Campaign

We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters who have given a total of $17,407, exceeding our goal of $15,000! To everyone who has donated, we can’t thank you enough.

We’re committed to fostering creative talent and giving independent theatre makers the tools to build a sustainable career in the industry. With this in mind, we ran an end of financial year giving campaign that aimed to assist in the development of local dramaturgs by establishing a dramaturgy course in Perth in partnership with Playwriting Australia.

The generosity of our donors and the success of this campaign means we’ve now established a course for all kinds of arts-practitioners to expand their skill set to include dramaturgy. The course is suitable for producers, directors, actors, publicists and the like who are looking to upskill.

The Blue Room Theatre champions the now, the next and the new and has been the creative hub of Western Australia’s independent theatre scene for over 25 years, supporting the boldest minds and acting as a vital incubator for successful artists.

While the end of financial year giving campaign is now over, we continue to accept donations year round. All funds raised go directly back to supporting artists through our programs. All donations over $2 are tax deductible, and every bit makes a difference.
