"As a visitor to Perth who likes to see live theatre, this was a terrific show in a great venue. The versatility and impact of the acting and its closeness was most appreciated."
Zen's Red Mouth audience member, July 2007

"Loved the show, I always enjoy the performances at The Blue Room. Artsy atmosphere, but not pretentious, cutting edge performances. Never boring"

A family of travelling performers arrives in an outback West Australian town in 1964 to entertain the locals.

As the curtain rises and the lights dim, hidden anger, jealousy and dark secrets become the leading actors. When the performance becomes twisted with reality, the results are violently destructive!

Loosely based on the opera Pagliacci by Leoncavallo, this new chamber musical by the team who brought The Blue Room Anthems for Doomed Youth (2006) and Last Days of Weimar (2004) deals with isolation, our perceptions of strangers, and mixed race relationships.

WARNING: Contains some violence.
