Paul Bourke will be conducting a one-day Bouffon Workshop at The Blue Room Theatre on Sunday 17 July.
Bouffon is a darker style of clowning, come and discover the world of the grotesque. Immerse yourself in a weekend of physical exploration, game playing, performance exercises and ensemble work. Gain the essential tools to continue to explore and experiment with this fantastic, irreverent, disgusting and playful form of theatre.
Bouffon is an exciting platform for performers to explore the dark side of humanity and learn the art of parody.

Paul Bourke is a graduate of the Helikos International school of theatre creation the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris and the John Bolton theatre school. As a performer, director and teacher, Paul has a strong passion for honing a synthesis between the physical articulation, imagination and pleasure of the actor.
As a teacher Paul has taught with Strange Fruit, Westside Circus, Circus Oz , Goulbourn Ovens Tafe, The University of Ballarat, RMIT University and The John Bolton Theatre School as well as within his own independent Workshops in Clown, Bouffon, Movement and Character.
