queer / femme / showgirl
A masterclass in literary theft; build-your-own identity and post-anarchy. Don Quixote steals from netflix, online dating sites and instant porn. She’s the idol you deserve.
Unashamedly feminine, unexpected and revealing; queer, femme showgirl Kerith Manderson-Galvin (Green Screen, Sans Hotel/MTC; don’t bring lulu, UHT; Side Effect + 22 Short Plays, MKA) brings you a Frankenstein’s monster of music, theatre, art and old letters kept in a box in Kerith’s cupboard.
Featuring herself as herself, a good deal of smoke and mirrors, and the sugary sounds of live sixties girl pop smashed with a hot score from Duane Morrison (writer of 90s club hit ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’).
She’s Kerith Manderson-Galvin (after Kathy Acker / Cervantes / Amanda Bynes Twitter Feed), and she’s going to die.
