A free one-on-one film portraiture project unlike any other
An immersive one-on-one experience taking place on a custom made trike, Mobile Moments 3.0 is a film portraiture project that celebrates the people of a place. Get on and go for a ride – whatever happens in the moment, surrender and share a slice of yourself.
During each ride, a selection of special moments are captured as a video portrait filmed from the handlebars of the trike. These will be presented as part of a short film series screened and projected across various sites of the city.
Moving from MarshArt Festival in the Kimberly to the inaugural Proximity Festival, this latest series will peddle the pavements of Perth in search of a moment to share.
This is a free event suitable for all ages. Created by Sarah Nelson. Proudly supported by the City of Perth.
“There was something very kinetic and uplifting about my Mobile Moments experience. Each gentle bump and dip on our circuit was an inexplicable delight…” – Artshub
“Mobile Moments was my favourite adventure of the festival. I was escorted through the Cultural Centre on a tricycle ridden by Sarah Nelson who was delightfully easy to chat to” – Australian Stage
“It is definitely a unique way to engage with the Perth Cultural Centre; somehow you feel you are actively helping the energy of the space to come alive” – Artshub
“Playful, intelligent, restrained but so generous… A complete breath of fresh air! The beautiful residual component of the video is the most successful, purposeful ‘post performance’ use of material I have ever seen!’- Kelli Mccluskey, pvi collective
