Little y Theatre & theMOXYcollective
A familiar car park seen in an unfamiliar way or whispers of sweet intimacies in a stairwell at dusk . A balmy summer night in your city. Anything can happen…
Go on an interactive walk through an urban hub where the city becomes the stage. Audio, visual and physical moments combine, letting you see and interact with the night in a radically new way.
Public Space was developed in early 2012 by Mark Storen and a team of local performance makers looking at personal experiences in public spaces. What emerged from these workshops were narratives of public and private memory. From these beginnings the show has been collaboratively developed into a piece that draws on image, sound, body and text revealing moments of awkward intimacy, questions of translation and unexpected connections.
Watch out for clues along the path while questioning whether everyone in view might be a performer and the cityscape might be their stage. Public Space asks you to open your mind and listen to the soundtrack of the city as we tell you a story about the unexpected. You might just end up seeing your city in a new and unique way…
