A retrospective of solo shows from world-renowned theatre maker Stuart Bowden and his unique brand of DIY theatre will be performed in chronological order over a series of five nights.
Tuesday 7 February – The World Holds Everyone Apart, Apart from Us: Avian’s mission is to rummage around the galaxy, searching for a friendly planet to tow back to earth to keep the world company. A simple story about a complicated world.
Wednesday 8 February – The Beast: A poignant, playful tale about a creature that lives in a cave on the outskirts of town. Entwining songs from a ukulele and loop pedal, this uplifting tale will touch your heart and tickle it.
Thursday 9 February – She Was Probably Not A Robot: A lo-fi, DIY, sci-fi experience. A surreal, soulful comedy about a decomposing world and a cosmic visitor.
Friday 10 February – Before Us: The story of a creature, the last of an undiscovered species, facing extinction. An experimental melan-comedy about death, family and loneliness.
Saturday 11 February – Wilting in Reverse: A strangely compelling story with live music, vigorous dancing, understandable words and profound body movement.
