Director, writer and designer Joe ‘Hooligan’ Lui is well known to Perth audiences, but you’ll have never seen him like this. Taking to the stage for the first time in his professional career, Joe’s new work Letters Home looks at the period in his life when he chose not to return to his native Singapore to take up military service, making him a criminal in the eyes of his parents and the Singaporean state.
On every Friday night of the season, you have the opportunity to dine with Joe on the set of the show. Catered by the legendary Northbridge institution Joy Cafe, join Joe for a Chinese feast and a wide-ranging discussion about youth, love, power, freedom and American football.
Places are strictly limited.
When: 9:30pm – Fridays 19 & 26 September & 3 October
