Dr Anne Aly, the Federal Member for Cowan and an internationally renowned expert in counter-terrorism and counter-radicalisation, is first cab off the rank to dive head first into Nassim Soleimanpour’s BLANK.
Part of The Blue Room Theatre Summer Nights program at FRINGE WORLD 2017, BLANK will see Dr Aly handed a script riddled with blanks for the first time as she walks on stage. The play becomes a story machine, sharing the life of the playwright, the performer and a randomly selected audience member.
To prepare Dr Aly for the night, we asked her to fill in the blanks below…
Hi, my name is Anne Aly and I am performing in a production called BLANK by Nassim Soleimanpour. You can catch me at Studio Underground on Friday 20 January at 6pm.
I am drawn to watching performances or works of art that say something about what it means to be human.
My biggest fear about performing BLANK is forgetting my lines!
But I’m very excited for seeing what comes out of this theatrical experiment.
The closest thing i have ever done to BLANK is university theatre productions.
You can purchase tickets to see Dr Aly’s performance HERE.
