Little Y Workshops run for three hours on Monday nights, and past guest artists have included Emily McLean, Sally Richardson and Humphrey Bower. As a result of past classes, shows have been devised, networks have been extended, actors have been cast and skills have been sharpened.
Local actor, comedian, writer and director Sam Longley will host little y’s November series, exploring long form improvisation.
The sessions run on a drop-in system, so you only need to come when you can.
When: Mondays, 6:30pm – 9:30pm // Where: The Blue Room Theatre

LONG FORM IMPROVISATION
7, 14, 21 & 28 November
In this series of workshops we will be looking at the actors friend – long form improvisation.
Long form improv explores narrative and character and is not based on game handles. This allows actors the freedom to take time in developing character relationships and plot points. Long forms usually involve numerous scenes that at first seem to be unrelated but as the improv advances the scene’s narrative points merge. There are an infinite number of ways to perform a long form and no limits to the possibilities for structure or theme.
These workshops will be fun, challenging and will help your confidence and technique on stage and in auditions.
