LOFT support for the second half of 2017 is being dedicated to support the creative development of work by artists from culturally diverse or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, or artists with disability. This reflects The Blue Room Theatre’s commitment to seeing more diverse stories on stage, showcasing the diversity of our community.
Existing to support a range of professional theatre projects being developed and/or presented outside of The Blue Room Theatre’s two performance spaces, LOFT provides funding successful projects as well as access to producing, administrative, marketing and technical support where necessary.
We want West Australian independent artists to be thinking of big, bold ideas and know that they have the support of The Blue Room Theatre team behind them so that they can leverage LOFT support with other funders, presenters and producers.
Applications close at 5pm on Wednesday 17 May 2017.
For more information, including how to apply, head to the main LOFT page here.
LOFT is an additional activity coordinated by The Blue Room Theatre. Necessary funds and operational costs have been granted by the Department of Culture and the Arts for a period of two years. A total of $300,000 will be granted over three funding rounds, to support a minimum of seven applications.
