Fostering generous artistic practice
Join local Independent performer and theatre maker Jo Morris as she explores what it is to be a generous practitioner in all aspects of performance, and how it can enrich and ultimately feed into a healthier arts community. Via a combination of unapologetically silly games, spirited discourse and focused, practical technique, this workshop is designed to evoke and celebrate the things that connect us to our practice, and to each other. Suitable for artists across all disciplines.
Elizabeth Pedler will then facilitate a discussion on the incubation and the development of new creative works, and the structures we need to grow them.
FLOCK is a monthly forum for Perth’s independent and freelance artists to share practice and conversation with each other. At each FLOCK event one local WA independent artist leads a creative workshop then another facilitates a debrief and discussion.
Independent artists, all disciplines, all stages of career are welcome to attend FLOCK for free – booking is essential via the ‘Buy Now’ link.
