Outcome Unknown presents a night of incantatory spoken-word and experimental music by two acts working on the margins. 

The Definitives are the resident band at DADAA Midland. This motley crew of poets and visual artists draw on their lived experience of mental illness to create whimsical vignettes propelled by freewheeling rhythms. The group works with processed guitar, bass, harmonicas and synthezisers. Their spirited performances consist of stories being told and then pulled apart in a wild chorus of sounds, voices, and ocassionally, laughter.

Their work has been hailed by experimental music legend Robbie Avenaim, while collaborations with local musicians Josten Myburgh, Annika Moses and Eduardo Cossio have brought the band a word of mouth following.

Jenny Hickinbotham teams up with the electronic musician Jane Stark to present a new collection of songs featuring ambient electronics and fluid pulses. Jenny draws on multiple voices, perspectives and temporalities to explore mental ill-health with pathos and playfulness.
