The Blue Room Theatre Launch

We would love nothing more than to welcome you with open arms into The Blue Room Theatre to launch the 2020 Season with you and to celebrate the WA artists who keep the pulse of our city beating. But, amidst the coronavirus cancellations and gathering restrictions, we’re unable to assemble our community in person to do this.

However, in the spirit of celebration for the programmed artists and their hard work, on Thursday 16 April we’re launching online to showcase the season that was, and will be. Streamed straight into your living room, a series of tantalising tasters will spice up the monotony of working from home, Netflix binges, half-assed workouts and long walks to the fridge.

You can tune into the activities and be part of the fun through Facebook and Instagram, and can even join the hottest zoom of the week – a parting disco Zoom with none other than our outgoing Executive Director, Julian Hobba, on the decks. Check out the schedule below for directions of what is happening when, and how to tune in.

We hope you’ll virtually gather with us and enjoy the online party.

The sign of any good Blue Room event is when Julian sneaks behind the bar, Hop Hog in hand, to plug in his disco tunes. This will be Julian’s last launch party, so we’re hosting a Blue Room Zoom, and you’re invited to pop in, have a boogie, and say farewell in the chat.
