Promenade of movement

Indulge in an evening of dance with three bite-sized new works to sample across three locations in Perth Cultural Centre.

Dancers are your guide for the night, leading you through a highly visual and rambunctious experience in the heart of Northbridge. From the basement of The Rechabite to the State Theatre Centre garden and upstairs at The Blue Room Theatre, movement takes over spaces in your city in playful new ways. Curated by choreographer and dancer, Tyrone Earl Lraé Robinson, this promenade performance features a hand-picked selection of what’s new in contemporary dance and movement-making.

Unearthly
In an exploration of the history of The Rechabite, this is a visceral celebration to reclaim and inhabit previously forbidden spaces.
Choreographed and performed by Bernadette Lewis and Natalie Allen. Project conception and early collaboration by Daisy Sanders. Sound design by Tess Stephenson.

To Place
Bodies, objects and space intertwine as performers play with movement and form in a study of sculpture at The State Theatre Centre of WA.
Choreographed by Lauren Catellani. Performed by Mitchell Spadaro, Michelle Aitken and Mani Mae Gomes. Sound design by Alexander Turner.

The Walk
Join Bobby at The Blue Room Theatre in a walk through time and shiny space, diving into the expanse of self and identity.
Choreographed and performed by Tahlia Russell. Sound design by Peter McAvan. AV design by Michelle Aitken.

This is a promenade performance that requires the audience to travel between three venues in close proximity as part of their journey. The pathway is wheelchair accessible and consists of sealed paths, concrete and floorboards. Audiences are expected to move approximately 200 metres over the course of the 60min performance.
