The seasons – reflected in us
Step into the transcendent and poetic world of The Colour of Trees, an evocative dance and poetry performance that explores the emotional landscapes of the four seasons. Each act, performed by a solo artist, reveals the story of a season. From Summer’s ethereal glow and lingering ache to Autumn’s majestic transformation, Winter’s otherworldly stillness, and Spring’s playful rebirth. Drawing on the metaphor of children always colouring trees green, the work reflects on our human desire for perfection in an ever-changing world. Blending mesmerising movement with soul-stirring poetry, and enriched by evocative lighting and sound, the piece immerses audiences in a dreamlike journey. A celebration of transformation and acceptance, The Colour of Trees lingers long after the final scene, offering peace and renewal through life’s imperfect cycles.
