What does it mean to grow up Black in Australia?
Black Girl in Five Acts is a lyrical solo performance told through poetry, ritual, and movement. Grief, rage, tenderness, and joy rise and fall as the body becomes a vessel of memory, a site of survival, and a voice of defiance. Intimate and evocative, this is a story of Black girlhood that insists on being seen and heard. Audiences will walk away moved, challenged, and reminded of the power of storytelling to reclaim space and ignite connection.
