Now in its third year, Theatre Salon returns in 2026 in The Blue Room Bar for a series of relaxed, convivial discussions about current topics in theatre and performance.

About Facilitators

Zendra Giraudo (they/them) is an emerging movement-based performer and maker of Chinese Malaysian, Anglo Italo-Australian descent, living in Boorloo/Perth. With experience in contemporary and classical dance, and devised theatre, Zendra takes an activist approach to making in collaborative, improvisational, and anticolonial practice. They work across community-engaged projects, including co-producing Make-Shift Evenings, a platform for artists to practice experimental performance and critical discussion, and holding a position on the STRUT Dance board in the Artistic and Diversity Access and Inclusion sub-committees. Recent devised dance theatre works include WHITESNAKE3000 (2022 and 2023), and Conference on Hope (2026).

 

Chris Isaacs is a writer, devisor, performer, dramaturg, current literary director at Black Swan State Theatre Company, and founding core artist of The Last Great Hunt. As a dramaturg, and in his role at Black Swan State Theatre Company, Chris has assisted in the development of Dirty Birds (by Hayley and Mandy McElhinney), The Pool (by Steve Rodgers), Raised In Big Spirit Country (created by Naomi Pigram Mitchell), Carol (by Andrea Gibbs), The Shepherd’s Hut (by Tim McGarry, adapted from the novel by Tim Winton), and Day After Day In The Life Of The Useless (by Will O’Mahony).
