At The Blue Room Theatre, we believe stories humanise, inspire and connect our individual and collective experiences, and that these must be nurtured and celebrated in all their forms. However, many of our communities continue to face discrimination, exclusion and barriers to participation.
Since 2021, The Blue Room Theatre has been leading the sector by centering and showcasing diversity throughout our organisation (and beyond). This includes making a public Equity & Justice Pledge to embed anti-racism and increase access, equity and inclusion for all under-represented groups.
We commit to actively interrogating our structures so that our stages, programs, membership, board rooms, foyers and venues accurately reflect and celebrate the beautiful, rich and diverse communities in Western Australia.
