We are Home
5 homes. 1 seemingly endless journey. The destination? A place of belonging. The Outsiders return to present the first live iteration of the ‘An Evening of African Poetry and Storytelling’ (EAPS) series, exploring the meaning of ‘Home’. This follows up on the digital debut of the Propel Youth Arts WA KickstART Festival 2022.
Step into the homes of The Outsiders and immerse yourself in their struggle to simply be and be seen. The cast returns to delight with a crafty narrative and razor-sharp wordplay. Ponder over the heavy punchlines and underlying themes of mental health and community, delivered in sizzling rap and spoken word performances. A collection of stories carefully woven to capture the modern-day migrant experience. Feel at home. Grab an instrument. Join in the fun.
