Two nights of different and dissent

The Writers Collective returns to The Blue Room Theatre for two distinct nights of difference and dissent. WA authors Judith Huang, Asha Rajan, Seth Malacari, and Anna Quercia-Thomas interrogate the harmful structures of the literary sphere through the medium of theatre and comedy. 

Still here, Still talking seeks to push back against mainstream narratives of the ‘grateful’ migrant and ‘good’ queer community that too often are the dominant story. It believes that we must centre voices of resistance against those that try to drown out the complicated and emerging stories of a truly diverse nation. This vision seeks to heal, re-engage and re-present the idea of dissent as discourse.
