Wherever you go, there you are

Georgi is (almost) 21, chronically ill, acutely naïve – and moving to Hong Kong on taxpayer dollars.

Armed with her best survival tools (anti-inflammatories, immunosuppressants and avoidance), this autobiographical solo show explores illness, healing and impermanence in a city under the growing shadow of an authoritarian regime.

Personal and collective upheavals collide.

Arthritic flare-ups manipulate space and time.

And Georgi, back in Boorloo, goes to a pole dance class.

Devised by Georgi Ivers (Beginning at the End (of Capitalism), BESIDE), Joe Paradise Lui (The Ugly, Salome δ) and Michelle Hall (The Dirty Mother), don’t look away from this intimate dissection of youth, mortality, and continuing in the face of crisis.
