600 Seconds in the ‘Screen For Dreams’ Projection Series

Thanks to support from the State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries CBD Revitalisation Fund and the State Library of WA, a series of monumental projection works will bring the side of the State Library to life over the next three months.

Produced by The Rechabite in partnership with Perth Cultural Centre institutions, the works are projected from the Birdbath caravan that was craned on top of the CPP carpark lift shaft at the end of 2022. Featuring deep dives into the State Library Archives, new works commissioned by WA artists as well as programs that celebrate the unique histories of WA’s arts and cultural scene, The Blue Room Theatre is excited to contribute the only live telecast works to feature in the program.

About the Works

16 artists from The Blue Room Theatre’s 600 Seconds Program will share five nights of live performances in a sea container within the Birdbath.

Come on down, relax, grab a drink and put on some silent disco headphones. Tune into the ‘art channel’ and be immersed by the performance soundtrack as you watch the eclectic and imaginative performances happening live and projected onto the State Library wall.

And, if you can’t make the performance dates, the projections and soundtrack will be running amongst the rest of the exciting projection program until the end of June.
