1920s feminist rebellion meets film noir
Imagine being transported to a 1920s cinema—a world of flickering film reels and slapstick comedy. Breathing life into the silent film era, Hyperfantasia celebrates the trailblazing flapper women who dared to embrace freedom and femininity in a world where their voices were muted. Set to the sultry rhythms of jazz, this production pays homage to these early feminist pioneers where female sexuality is both desired and feared. While the stage may be adorned in greyscale, Hyperfantasia sheds colour on the narrative of women’s continued fight for independence. Presented as a live silent film, this bold work invites the audience to confront the past and connect with the present through a hypnotic dance between light and shadow. Experience Hyperfantasia—where movement speaks louder than words.
