Making Art Happen Together – Invest in our Intersectional Incubator

In 2025 we’re asking you to invest with us, to combine our resources, our passion, to help our artists tell the next great WA story.

We are raising funds for our Intersectional Incubator, a personalized residency program for underrepresented artists to conceive new performance works. Their stories, in their words. Your contributions will directly support local artists to develop, rehearse and eventually present new performance works.

As we aim to tell WA stories to the nation and the world, now is the perfect time for this project, to support artists to create new work that can be part of the 2026 Blue Room Season and be pitched at an international arts market APAM which will occur 2026, 2028, and 2030 right here in WA.

Our goal is to raise $40K by 31 May 2025, with every dollar matched by Plus 1. Amplifying your support and the impact of our project, and transforming $40,000 into $80,000.

We’re excited also to announce Plus1 support, Creative Australia’s matched funding initiative, doubling your donation, multiplying our support artists and the impact of the program.

Your donations will directly go towards employing artists, an investment in time, equipment, space, and ideas. Each residency will receive a minimum of $8000. The more we raise, the more artists benefit, the more shows are created, and the more productions you get to see – that you helped create.

To donate any amount, please follow the link to the Australian Cultural Fund website. All donations over $2 tax deductible.

You can also call the office on (08) 9227 7005 or email info@blueroom.org.au if you would like to speak further about your donation. Direct deposit options are available for significant donations.

“First you get the money, then you get the power.  But before either of those, you get The Blue Room Theatre season. At least that’s how it was for me.”
