Roller derby realness
Meet the artists!
The latest roller derby season’s arrived and a motley crew of skaters find themselves out of luck, out of practice, and out of a team. Tossed together in the reject pile, the unlikely gang gear up to find their feet before they fall on their face. They’re not here to play nice, and they’ve got the scars to prove it – mostly ones you can’t see.
United by their love of the sport and literally nothing else, five women skate circles around shit dates, self-worth and sticking it to the man. How the hell are you supposed to win anything when you can’t get yourself out of the penalty box?
From the superstars behind A Region Where Nobody Goes and Toast comes Ugly Virgins – a wheels-to-the-wall tournament of fun, fear and fury.
With generous support from local business legends Lucky Skates.
This project is funded by the State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries.
