The Blue Room Theatre’s artistic program ‘Donor Circle’ was established in 2020 as a response to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on independent theatre makers in Western Australia.
Funds raised annually by our Donor Circle provide increased financial and resource support directly to local artists for our Annual Season of performances. The funding builds viable and sustainable platforms, pathways and presenting opportunities for emerging and established artists. Our generous Donor Circle members pledge to contribute a minimum of $1,000/year for three years.
Throughout the year, The Blue Room Theatre hosts exclusive events and get togethers for Donor Circle members to celebrate local independent theatre, including season sneak peeks.
In 2020, our inaugural 19 Donor Circle members collectively gave $33,500 to the 2021 Annual Season. We raised $27,500 for our 2022 season and an amazing $36,000 for our 2022 season.
We are always looking for new members to join the Donor Circle to make this philanthropic support for our artists and Annual Season sustainable.
